Beaches:

With over 70 public beaches to choose from, there's a stretch of sand to suit everyone in Jamaica. Our favourites include: Seven Mile Beach, in Negril; the family-friendly facilities at Doctor's Cave Beach, in Montego Bay; the authentic vibe and perfect seclusion of Treasure Beach in the south; and the awesome waves at Boston Bay Beach in Port Antonio.

Adventure and watersports:

Expect great surf, exhilarating jet ski rides at Montego Bay or learn to scuba dive in Negril's calm waters, teeming with coral life. Discover challenging trails, panoramic hikes, canopy zip line tours, dune buggy rides, horseback riding, river tubing, all-terrain-vehicle expeditions, river rafting and more waterfalls to walk through than you could possibly imagine.

History:

Follow the trail of the Amerindians who originally inhabited the island, the Europeans that fought for it, the Africans that arrived here as slaves and the Asians and Middle Easterners that came in hope of a better life. Visit the historic city of Port Royal, discover treasures from the indigenous Taino inhabitants, visit Old Harbour and Spanish Town in Kingston, take a trip to the old Negril Lighthouse, the Greenwood Great House Museum and Sam Sharpe Square in Montego Bay.

Culture and Traditions:

Visit the Jamaican National Monument at Falmouth in Trelawney and Bob Marley's museum in Kingston. Check out the Rastafarian Indigenous Village, discover the picturesque neighbourhood of Titchfield in Port Antonio, try the cuisine in local restaurants, listen to a Reggae band and shop in the colourful craft markets.

Nature:

Striking natural landscapes abound in Jamaica, with plenty of opportunities for eco-tours available to nature lovers. Some of our favourite natural attractions include the waterfalls and natural springs at Dunn's River Falls; the chambers and light holes at Green Grotto Caves and the healing waters at Bath Mineral Springs in St Thomas.

Nightlife:

From dancing venues and live reggae bands to excellent Jazz clubs, there's stacks to keep you entertained in those balmy Jamaican evenings. In Negril, we love Risky Business and The Jungle for wild parties, or for a more laid back atmosphere we think Alfred's Ocean Palace is great for reggae and Jazz. In Montego Bay, Rick's Cafe has an amazing house band and in Ocho Rios, the open air patio at BiBiBips offers some of the island's best live tunes.
