Another great way to unwind while you're here is to head to one of the local beaches. Corniche Beach is the closest stretch of sand to the city itself, while on the islands you'll find the likes of Yas Beach - a glorious strip of sand on Yas Island - and Saadiyat Beach, which is on the isle of the same name and is a delightfully peaceful place to soak up the sun.
Saadiyat Island has much more to offer than its beach alone, though, with this destination becoming one of Abu Dhabi's cultural hubs thanks to the opening of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and the Zayed National Museum.
